Breynia Distychia ... Key West Snow Bush

Dwarf, variegated white and green dainty leaves. In cooler temps, leaves turn pinker. Height gets to approximately 2 ft, part sun to part shade. Zones 10-11. Needs to be protected during the winter.

This perennial shrub has brilliant red tubular blooms which attracts hummingbirds from far away. Does best in full sun. Drought resistant. Foliage turns red in the fall. Height 2-3 ft. Zones 8-11.

Leonotis Leonurus "Lions Ear"

An erect evergreen shrub with a woody base and dark green lanceolate leaves. Lion's Tail can grow to 6+ feet tall and nearly as wide but can be kept smaller by pruning. Fuzzy orange tubular flowers are curved and whorled around the flower stems from late spring through fall. Plant in full sun in a well drained soil. Drought tolerant. It can survive temperatures down to 20 degrees F and if it freezes back in the winter will often resprout with new growth from hardened wood.

Morning Glory Bush    (Ipomoea Carnea)

This beauty has beautiful lavender colored blooms with a darker throat and willow-like leaves. Morning Glory blooms, but on a shrub instead of a vine.  Full sun to part shade. Very cold hardy and drought tolerant.

Nandina "Fire Power"

What makes this plant awesome is the color changes all year. In the spring, the new foliage emerges red, and is soon followed by large, six to twelve inch panicles of creamy white flowers. As summer gets under way, the foliage becomes blue green, fading to light green. Clusters of bright green berries replace the flowers. By late summer, the berries will ripen to a bright red. In the fall, the foliage color again begins to change to shades of pink and red, ending the year with bright red leaves and berries.  Zones 6 - 9.

Ruttya fruticosa 'Orange' ... Rabbits Ears ... Hummingbird Plant

Pretty vining shrub covered with very unusual red to dark orange flowers with brown markings. From the front, the blooms look like rabbits ears. Looking at it from the side, they look like hummingbirds. Approximately 4 ft. in height. Zones 8-11.
