Banana
Red Abyssinian .... Ensete Maurelli
This is an
ornamental banana grown primarily for
it's beautiful foliage. As it gets
bigger, the bottom sides of the leaves and
the stalk of
the tree turn burgandy. Fruits are not
edible. They can reach up to 15 ft in
warmer climates, but will only get to
6-8 ft in cooler climates. Great
container plants. Protect from cold
below 20 degrees.

Colocasia esculenta "Illustris Black"
Large tropical leaf shaded dark
gray to black highlighted with veins and edges of lime green. Does
better with plenty of moisture. Excellent for water gardens when
planted in a pot submerged in the pond. Sun to part shade. Height
24-48 inches. Zones 7-11. |

lover make this a fascinating plant.

"Fox Tail Fern"
Asparagus meyeri is an evergreen arching perennial that has
feathery, needle-like, stems. Its growth habit is very dense and it
produces tail-like fronds for a fluffy "Foxtail" look.

Musa - sumatrana "Rojo" (Banana)
A banana that is mainly used for it's
ornamental qualities as opposed to the fruit, which is seedy and
inedible. Known as Blood Banana because of the red splotches on
the top side of the leaf and the solid red undersides. This banana can
grow 6-8 feet tall with an equal spread. Great for the garden as well
as containers. zones 8-11. |

Philodendron selloum....Split Leaf
The Split Leaf philodendron is a popular houseplant that thrives
outside in the lower South having a sprawling form and coarse texture.
Freezing temperatures may damage the foliage, but the thick stem
usually survives. Although adapted to full sunlight, the Split Leaf
Philodendron grows best in partial shade. Average Size: 15H x 10W.
Zones 8-10.
